Ford has revealed the key details of its new facelift version of Figo – the hatchback. Though it sports the best in class engine, the demand is not up to the mark because of Ford always being reluctant on providing it with features. Now, the facelift launch is scheduled at March 15, 2019, we expect this to change.
From the new details that has been surfaced tells us that Figo facelift will come in three variants – Ambiente, Titanium, and Titanium BLU being the top end variant.
On the outside, it will sport revised front and rear bumpers, a honeycomb front grille, tweaked headlights, automatic headlamps, rain sensing wipers, larger 15-inch alloy wheels and a dual-tone roof (in the top-spec version). Interior makeover consist of a restyled dashboard, addition of keyless entry, push button start and a MID unit with Bluetooth and navigation. Ford’s slick Sync3 infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay will be given a miss even in the top variant. We were hoping that Ford will give this in the top-spec variant.
On the safety Front, the Ford Figo will get ABS, rear parking sensors, seat-belt reminders and a speed-alert system standard across the range. Top-spec Ford Figo will also get adjustable rear headrests and will get a class-leading 6 airbags.
Under the hood, Figo includes a 96hp, 1.2-litre engine, paired to a new 5-speed manual gearbox. Range topping petrol auto variant will also get a new 123hp, 1.5-litre engine paired to a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission in place of the earlier dual-clutch unit. DCT to CVT is a downfall though. As far as diesel engine is concerned it will be carry forward from previous Figo.
