Yamaha Motor India has launched the dual channel ABS enabled YZF-R15 V3.0 in India. Priced at Rs 1.39 lakh (ex-showroom), the 2019 YZF-R15 V3.0 ABS commands a premium of 12,000 over the non-ABS version. With the launch of the dual channel Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS) enabled YZF-R15 Version 3.0, Yamaha has become the first 150 CC class model that has dual channel ABS as standard. Bookings for the R15 ABS are already open at Yamaha dealerships across India.
The 2019 YZF-R15 V3.0 ABS will be available with a new all-black Darknight colour along with Thunder Grey and Racing Blue options. The bike remains mechanically unchanged. The 155 cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine produces 19.3 PS of power at 10,000 RPM and 14.7 NM of torque at 8500 RPM. The dual channel ‘Anti-lock Braking System’ (ABS) technology comes with adjustable fluid pressure which will further be reliable to ensure immediate braking on slippery roads.
The third generation of the very successful R15 series was launched at the 2018 Auto Expo and has gained enormous admiration from Yamaha loyalists as its first year sales doubled up the targeted production.
Yamaha Motor India also has another launch planned for January 21, 2019.
