Italian luxury carmaker Ferrari has plans in to launch a total of 15 new models by 2022 as was revealed at the company’s shareholders’ meeting by the company’s new CEO Louis Camilleri.
The adjusted core earnings forecast now reads at 1.8-2.0 Billion Euros by 2022 and the company plans to achieve this target by launching 15 new models in different segments and even venturing into the Utility vehicle space.
The company is planning to launch their first ever SUV by the name Purosangue (thoroughbred) which will feature a smaller V6 engine. Ferrari has already showcased its new ‘Icona’ range of models by the name of SP1 and SP2 Monza. The company will segregate its upcoming models in the following categories- Sports, GT, Special edition and Hypercars.
While the company will feature the upcoming SUV into the GT segment, Ferrari will actively march towards building petrol-electric hybrids that will make up 60% of the company’s lineup by 2022.
