Honda CB300R Launched in India at Rs 2.41 Lakh; Commands 3 Months Waiting Period

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the CB300R in India. Priced at Rs 2.41 lakh (Ex-showroom, pan India), the Honda CB300R will come to India via completely knocked down (CKD) kits. The CB300R is available in two colours – Matte Axis Grey Metallic and Candy Chromosphere Red. The bike will be available in 22 cities across India. Bookings are open at the exclusive Wing World dealerships across India for Rs. 5,000 only with deliveries slated from March 2019 onwards.

As per the company, The Neo Sports Café family is Honda’s ultra-modern minimalistic take on the timeless roadster design. CB300R is inspired from its powerful sibling CB 1000R Neo Sports Café which was originally showcased at the Tokyo Motor Show 2017. Developed as the ultimate Sports Roadster to ‘Transform mere travel into a playful ride’, CB300R is pure fun to ride and absolute joy to own.

Powering the Honda CB300R is the 286 cc liquid-cooled 286 cc  single-cylinder engine which produces 30 hp of power at 8,000 rpm and peak torque of 27.4 Nm at 6,500 rpm. Power is transmitted to the rear wheel via a six-speed gearbox. The kerb weight is rated at 143 kg, which makes it the Lightest Motorcycle in its Class. The fuel tank capacity of the bike is 10 litres. The Company claims a range of over 300 km in a tankful of fuel.

On the features front, the new CB300R comes with a full LED headlamp, fully digitalized LCD meter display and Full LED lights including indicators with Thinnest ever taillight mounted on a Honda motorcycle.

Making CB300R perfect for Indian roads are the fat bar-style handlebars with 40° radius, 2.3m turning radius, single rear shock with 5-step spring preload adjustment and compact 1344mm wheelbase.

The Honda CB300R competes against the likes of KTM 390 Duke and the BMW G 310 R.
