Kicking Off 2019, Honda Cars India has introduced a manual transmission option in the Range topping ZX variant. The ZX MT variant was only on offer with the diesel engine till now. As per the company, the new variant has been introduced in response to ‘high demand’ for a top-spec petrol manual. The new ZX Manual variant has been priced at Rs 12.75 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Apart from the new variant addition to the Range, the company will now offer parking sensors as standard across all variants of the City Sedan. The update regarding the parking sensors is more of a requirement from the company as it’s going to be mandatory post-April 2019. Also, the City line-up now gets two new exterior colour options namely ‘Radiant Red Metallic’ and ‘Lunar Silver Metallic’.
Key differences in the ZX and VX variants are side and curtain airbags, and 16-inch machine-finished alloy wheels, automatic headlamps, automatic wipers, soft-touch dashboard and a trunk lid spoiler.
The Honda City measures 4,440mm in length, 1,485mm in height and 1,695mm in width. It sits on a wheelbase measuring 2,550mm and gets ground clearance of 165mm along with kerb weight of 1,085 kgs. The 1.5-litre four-cylinder petrol engine remains unchanged, developing 119PS of power and 145Nm of torque.
