Based on the Carlino concept that debuted at Auto Expo 2016, the Hyundai Sytx is expected to have its world debut at the New York International Auto Show on 17 April 2019. With the Styx, Hyundai will enter the highly competitive sub-4 metre SUV segment in India and will compete with the Ford EcoSport, soon to be launched Mahindra XUV300, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Tata Nexon in India.
As per a report published by IAB, IAB reader PE Robinson has shared a rear angle spyshot which reveals the tail light glow pattern of the upcoming Compact SUV.
The Hyundai Styx will be less than 4,000 mm in length to avoid falling in the same higher tax bracket as the Hyundai Creta. The baby SUV from Hyundai will get a 118 hp 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 115 hp 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine options.
It is expected that that India will be the first Country that will get this model first globally for sales.
