Isuzu has announced the South African cricketing legend Jonty Rhodes as their new brand ambassador for the Isuzu D-Max V-Cross pick-up truck in India. Jonty Rhodes will be promoting the brand as well as the lifestyle pick-up truck in India.
The D-Max V-Cross pick-up truck was launched in India in 2016 while Isuzu commenced operations in the country about six years ago. In such a short span, the company has been able to create its own fan base in India due to its popularity among off-roaders.
Jonty Rhodes hails from South Africa, which is one of the largest markets for pick-up trucks globally. Currently, the Isuzu V-Cross is the only lifestyle pick-up truck on sale in India. So, this will surely help the company to target a wider audience.
The Isuzu D-Max V-Cross is powered by a 2.5 L diesel engine that produces 134 hp of power at 3600 rpm and 320 Nm of torque at 1800 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox that sends power to all the 4 wheels.
