As per latest reports, Isuzu Motors India will be launching the 2019 Isuzu MU-X SUV in the country next month. Scheduled for a launch on October 16, the new model will receive a host of cosmetic upgrades to the exterior as well as interior. When launched, the Isuzu MU-X SUV will directly compete against the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and the upcoming Mahindra Rexton SUV/Y400 SUV.
The exterior changes include updated projector lamps with integrated LED DRLs, revised front grille and bumper with larger round fog lamps. The side profile remains unchanged with the only changes limited to a new set of Alloy wheels. At the rear, the new model gets revised taillamps, larger roof spoiler and a new bumper design. Expect minor changes to the cabin as well.
Mechanically, the SUV remains unchanged. It is powered by the same 3.0 L diesel engine as the current MU-X which delivers 176 PS of power and 380 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed sequential automatic gearbox. The SUV also comes equipped with 4×4 Terrain Command variant which gets a shift-on-the-fly rotary dial.
