Kawasaki has introduced a new cafe racer variant of the Z900, christened as the Z900 RS Café.The Z900 RS Café gets a new racing cowl over the round headlamp and Blacked out handlebar with three new colour options. The new colours introduced in the Range are Stormcloud Blue, Metallic Graphite Gray and the Vintage Lime Green with a white stripe.
Kawasaki claims the Z900 RS Cafe has an old school character not just because of its looks but because of the mechanicals. Now, the peak power is achieved 1,000 rpm lower than the standard Kawasaki Z900 and the exhaust note of the Z900 RS Café is similar to the classic 1972 Kawasaki Z1.
The Kawasaki Z900 RS Café gets the same 948cc Inline 4 Cylinder Engine capable of producing 109 hp of power at 8,500 rpm and 98.5 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm.
As of now, the Kawasaki Z900 RS Cafe will be available in Japan from August 2018, followed by launches in Europe and the US. There is no confirmation regarding its launch in India.
In India, The Kawasaki Z900 RS retails for ₹ 15.30 lakh and standard Kawasaki Z900 is priced at ₹ 7.68 lakh.
