Our expectations have been high from MG Motors and because the brand is new to India, the company is bringing its best foot forward to take a stand. MG Motor India announced the new Hector SUV for our market earlier this year and is currently in the thorough testing phase. While the vehicle hasn’t been uncovered, a picture of the instrument panel has surfaced over the internet.
From its first look, one understands that it is not conventional. The speedometer is on the left side and RPM meter on the right. What is more unusual is that the RPM meter needle moves in anti-clockwise direction. Yes! Speedo moves clockwise and Techo moves anti-clockwise. It is first of its kind and will take a moment getting used to such dials. The dials are blue backlit and at the centre there is a 7-inch colour display that displays much information like TPMS (tire pressure management system) details, audio & navigation info, drive modes, trip meters, DTE etc.
Hector will be MG’s first ever offering to Indian Market and it will take on the likes of the Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson, Tata Harrier and XUV500.
