MG Motor India has announced the name of their First SUV for India. Christened as Hector, the name was revealed via a video released on their Social Media Channels.
In the short video, the Hector SUV is shown to be going under cold weather testing. The video also provides us a short glimpse of the Tata Harrier like LED DRLs at the front which double up as turn indicators and the Instrument Cluster.
The Hector SUV is based on an existing platform but will be an exclusive offering for India. With a length of 4,655mm and a wheelbase of 2,750mm, the size of the upcoming SUV is comparable to SUVs one segment above like the Skoda Kodiaq which measures at 4,697mm in length.
The SUV will be manufactured at the company’s Halol plant in Gujarat. Spotted testing multiple times across India, the SUV is expected to start around the Rs 14 lakh mark.
