Maruti Suzuki has launched the all-new Ertiga in India. The new Etriga is offered with both petrol and diesel engines. The prices for the petrol manual models range from Rs 7.44-9.50 lakh while the Petrol automatic range is priced between Rs 9.18-9.95 lakh. The diesel Manual range prices are between Rs 8.84-10.90 lakh (all prices are ex-showroom, Delhi).
The 2018 Ertiga is based on the Suzuki’s acclaimed 5th generation Heartect platform and is 40 mm wider, 5 mm taller and 99 mm longer than the previous gen model. The MPV offers a boot capacity of 209 litres which can be expanded to 809 litres with the second third row folded.
The All New Ertiga is offered with a new K15 Petrol engine that has 13% more power and 6% improved torque output than the previous K14 Motor. The new engine produces 103 hp of power and 138 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox. The diesel models are powered by the same 1.3-litre DDIS 200 engine that makes 89 hp of power and 200 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The 2018 Ertiga offers Best-in-class fuel efficiency: Diesel: 25.47 km/l ; Petrol: 19.34 km/l (MT) 18.69 km/l (AT).
Both the petrol and diesel models of the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga will also get the SHVS Smart Hybrid Technology with Lithium ion battery. Maruti Suzuki and suppliers have invested over Rs 900 crores towards development of the next gen Ertiga. Launched in April 2012, Maruti Suzuki Ertiga has clocked cumulative sales of almost 4.2 lakh units since launch.
Some of the Feature Highlights of the 2018 Ertiga are Projector Headlamps, Volvo inspired boomerang shaped LED tail lamps, dual tone interiors with maple wood finish and chrome accents, 15-inch alloy wheels, air-cooled cup holders, bottle holders and accessory socket in each row, roof mounted AC vents for the third row, leather wrapped flat bottom steering wheel, roomier third row seats with 50:50 split and fold and recline function and a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto being offered only on the Range Topping models.
Safety features such as dual airbags, high speed warning alert, front seat belt with pre-tensioners and force limiters, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, ABS with EBD and brake assist and reverse parking sensors are standard across all variants.
