In what is billed as a real collector’s item, Porsche has built an all-new 911-Turbo based on the 993 generation with the original body shell and a Golden Yellow exterior paint job. Slated to be showcased and thereafter auctioned off at the Porsche Rennsport Reunion at Laguna Seca
Project Gold will carry the original body shell of the 993-generation car but will get a new Golden paint job. Another close to 6500 genuine parts were sourced from Porsche Classic to build the car. It will also get a new pair of LED headlamps.

The car has also been subjected to a number of upgrades to follow the times. It gets new suspension parts for better ride and handling along with a redesigned aluminium chassis to reduce weight. Powering the restored car is a new 3.6-liter, flat six engine that generates the same power figure of 450 HP that was once produced by the original car.
The car will be showcased at Laguna Seca on 27th September 2018 post which it will be auctioned off in October 2018. The funds raised will be donated to the Ferry Porsche foundation, a non-profit organization that celebrates 70 years of Porsche Sports cars this year.
