Co-founder of Micromax – Rahul Sharma, has started a new venture called Revolt Intellicorp, an up and coming electric two-wheeler startup. Seeing the potential of electric vehicles that resides in coming future, the recently incorporated company is about to launch its first product in June 2019.

India being one of the largest consumers of two-wheeler market, holds much potential for this kind of startup.  Wholly owned by Rahul Sharma, company has invested about INR 400 crore to 500 crore. Based out of Gurgaon, the manufacturing facility is at Manesar, having a capacity to produce 1.2 lakh units. This figure is more than twice the size of the entire electric two-wheeler market, which suggests us that the company is in business for the long haul.

Rahul Sharma, Founder, Revolt Intellicorp Pvt. Ltd. said, “As a mechanical engineer by qualification, I always found mobility and the expanse of opportunities it offers, very intriguing. There is a colossal need for using technology to disrupt urban commute and make it cleaner and sustainable. I’m doing my bit and I feel this is the right time for every player operating in this space to come together for the greater good of our environment. My vision is to see every household in India have access to sustainable mobility.”

Relying on the company’s in-house R&D department which has worked on the new A.I enabled motorcycle for two years, Revolt is confident that it will be a game-changer when launched for automotive industry. The motorcycle will be fully electric, AI based and embedded with 4G LTE SIM. It will give around 150Kms of range in a single full charge with a top speed of 85kmph. The electric motor and battery will be imported, so we have to wait and see how company ables to give it a fair price.
