RE is riding on the high wave with its newly launched 650 twins: The Interceptor 650 and The Continental GT 650. The waiting period has gone up to 6-months for these two bikes.

Siddhartha Lal said that the production will go up from 2500 units per month to 4000-5000 units a month to cope up with the demand. The reason for delay is due to the simultaneous demand in Europe as well as in USA. Also, 650 twins are exported to Indonesia, Australia, Brazil, Thailand, and other international markets. This too has led to an increase in the waiting period. Moreover, the bikes were also needed for test rides mules and display purposes, so the company was focused more on these aspects than deliveries since the launch. But, soon there will be increase in production units on monthly basis which will solve the problem.

Also, RE has increased its dealer base, adding 20 dealers in the last quarter of December, to keep pace with the wide range of products.
