Royal Enfield has introduced a rear disc brake on its Bullet range in the Indian market. The Models that have received the update are Bullet 350, Bullet 350 ES and the Bullet 500. Although, the company is yet to offer dual-channel ABS on these motorcycles.
The rear disc brake equipped Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is priced at Rs 1.28 lakh, while the Bullet 350 ES has been priced at Rs 1.32 lakh. The range-topping Royal Enfield Bullet 500 with a rear disc brake commands a price of Rs 1.72 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi).
Barring the rear brake addition, the Royal Enfield Bullet range gets no other mechanical changes. The 346 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine on the Bullet 350 and the 350 ES is tuned for 19 hp of power and 28 Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The Royal Enfield Bullet 500 uses a 499 cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine with fuel-injection that produces 27 hp of power and 41 Nm of torque.
