Royal Enfield is all set to reveal the scrambler versions of its classic 350 and 500 named as RE Trials 350 and 500. The company has been working on these for quite a long time and finally has teased officially about the two. These are expected to be showcased at a coming RE event on March 26, 2019.

In the teaser, the video mentions only two things, “the most enduring tale” and the launch date March 26, 2019 along with the launch venue Pune. However, the bikes can be seen sporting a high raised exhaust, premium grey-silver paint and chrome fittings spread across the bike structure. On the rear, we can see a luggage rack also as was shown in the previous spy shots.

Apart from these updates, mechanically the bike is likely to be same as before. It will continue to use 346 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engines that develop 19 bhp and 28 Nm of torque and alongside a 499 cc single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected motor that develops 27 bhp and 41 Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with a 5-speed gearbox.

Even the suspension on these scrambler styled Trials will be governed by same telescopic forks up front and twin shock absorbers at the rear with change in suspension travel, same disc brakes will be used in front as well as at rear but bike will get ABS as standard and Trails will have same ground clearance as of Classic 350 and 500.

Pricing of these bikes will command a premium, but how much premium, we have to wait and see!
