Well, if you want to introduce your young ones to world of motorcycling, Suzuki Motorcycle has done something that will definitely help you. The Japanese company has launched the DR-Z50 mini-bike in India for Rs 2.55 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
The 2019 Suzuki DR-Z50 is the ideal way to introduce young beginning riders to the sport of motorcycling. This compact, Suzuki-built mini-bike brings ease and convenience to riders just getting started on two wheels. Sporting an MX-style design, the DR-Z50 boasts of compact dimensions – 1320mmx580mmx790mm (length x width x height), wheelbase of 935mm, a seat height of just 560mm and a kerb weight of 54kg. With an automatic clutch, three-speed transmission and electric starting, this race-styled bike will help build confidence and riding ability for young supervised riders.
Powering the bike is a 49cc, single-cylinder engine. The DR-Z50’s engine has a smooth power band with peak power that can be controlled via the adjustable throttle limiter that allows supervising adults to control engine output to suit the rider’s ability. The Inverted front forks have a RM-Z-inspired design to produce enjoyable riding on a variety of terrain surfaces, with 3.8 inches of front wheel travel to absorb bumps.
The 2019 Suzuki DR-Z50 gets an oil-damped coil spring monoshock at the back. The mini-bike rides on 10-inch spoke wheels shod with tube-type knobby tyres and drum brakes at both ends.
The DR-Z50 is designed for use by children and off-road use only with Single rider only—weight limit 40 kg (88 pounds). The DR-Z50 is not recommended for children under age seven.
