Tata Motors today announced that it has crossed 10,000 customers for its flagship SUV- Harrier since its launch in January 2019. As part of the celebrations, the company launched dual tone colour options on the Harrier. These colour schemes consist of base colour orange and silver colour options with a contrasting roof in black colour. These combos will command a premium of INR 60,000 over the normal colours.
Other than these options, Harrier will continue retail of existing colours which are: Calisto Copper, Ariel Silver, Thermisto Gold, Telesto Grey and Orcus White.
TATA is no fresher in providing their cars with contrasting paint schemes. They have noticed that youth likes these contrasting colours and wraps their car roofs from aftermarket shops. This trend gave idea to the company to add these contrasting colours to their cars and TATA provides it with Tiago, Nexon and Hexa, and are standard on the Tiago NRG, Tiago JTP and Tigor JTP.
As the launch of MG Hector, it will surely make TATA customers to think otherwise, so apart from these colour schemes, TATA is set to give crucial mechanical changes to Harrier in the months to come. Harrier will get a FCA sourced BS6 compliant 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine, said to make 170 horses paired to Hyundai sourced 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Also, for now Harrier gets only diesel engine, but TATA is working on providing the Harrier with a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol engine. Furthermore, Buzzard – a 7-seat version of Harrier will also spawn around the year 2020.
