India Yamaha Motor Private Limited has recalled the YZF-R3 in India. As per the company, As many as 1,874 bikes are affected due to a potential defect in the “radiator hose” and “spring torsion”. The affected bikes were manufactured between July 2015 and May 2018 and were sold in both domestic and export markets.
Owners of the affected motorcycles will be contacted individually and the bikes will be repaired free of cost at Yamaha authorised dealerships.
As per the company, although no such problem has been reported from anywhere in India .However as a responsible manufacturer, Yamaha has initiated a factory modification campaign, where the affected motorcycles must get these parts replaced with modified ones.

The Yamaha YZF-R3 is priced at Rs 3.48 lakh (ex-showroom) and is powered by a 321 cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine which produces 41 hp of power at 10,750 rpm and 29.6 Nm of torque at 9,000 rpm.
